Define and explain the role of the neuron and its parts (dendrites, axon, myelin and axon terminals). 5 marks. 
Explain how information is received and transmitted (reception and transmission) across the synapse. 3 marks.
Explain what the synaptic gap and synapse are. 2 marks.
Define the term neurotransmitter with reference to the two possible effects. 3 marks.
Identify an excitatory and an inhibitory neurotransmitter and explain how they work. 6 marks.
Explain how neurotransmission is a lock and key process. 4 marks.

Define Parkinson's disease with reference to 3 symptoms (include both cognitive and motor). 4 marks.
Identify and explain the effects of chronic changes related to dopamine and Parkinson's. 3 marks.
